When candy takes hold of your emotions...

There’s a streetlight by your house, but for now I’m unaffected by it. I’ve dreamed of watching sunrises through your eyes, but not tonight. I’d rather wait until all was right, if you’d promise to hold me tight and never let slip your strong grip I believe we’d be alright. These needles in my chest, in my heart won’t be here for long, this is so new, mmmm must be the voodoo. Vex’s on your heart tend to tear you to shreds, but a vex on the heart is better than a vex in your head. One plus one is two, and two plus two is four, gosh, my head just wants more. I’ve taken so few, but I’m clouded and dizzy, all I see is you. You, shaken and scared, much like myself; boy do I need your help. Tonight, it’s right, hold me tight and watch the colors collide, be more than mine. Stand with me, on this balcony and let me bring you back. Back to reality. Away from yellow stars and other galaxies where aliens seem to consume us. Plus, I like it better this way. When I know what to say, when there’s no candy to keep us at bay, only fingertips.
